Story
Just over a year ago, my dad, Paul, was taken far too quickly by a rare and aggressive gastrointestinal (duodenal) cancer. From a healthy, active life to a an "out of the blue" diagnosis, he faced it with pragmatism, courage, and grace. Even in his final days, he reminded us that true happiness comes from being in service to others. Now it's my time to step up!
Each year, over 37,780 Australians are diagnosed with GI cancer. Research and clinical trials are critical to improving treatment options and outcomes.
In honour of Paul, my wife Gabi, my sister Mireille, and I are taking on the Kangaroo Island Gutsy Challenge, trekking 73KM over rugged terrain over 5 days (without showers!) to raise awareness and funds for GI cancer research—a cause that is now very close to our hearts.
If you can, please support us by making a donation. Even $10 for each blister I'll get helps! Your generosity will help fund vital research and give patients and families hope.
Thank you so much! 💙
